Important: Pawbi does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or emergency care. AI output can be wrong. Contact a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions and an emergency clinic when your pet may need urgent care.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By downloading, accessing, or using Pawbi, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Pawbi. You must be at least 18 or the age of legal majority where you live. A person aged 13 to the local age of majority may use Pawbi only with authorization and supervision from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms. Pawbi is not intended for children under 13.
2. What Pawbi provides
Pawbi helps users organise pet profiles, routines, journals, reminders, care history, subscription features, and general AI-assisted guidance. Features may differ by device, account, region, subscription, or release and may change over time.
3. Not veterinary or emergency care
Pawbi, its reminders, its educational content, and Pawbi AI are informational organisation tools only. They do not establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship and do not diagnose, triage, treat, prescribe, or replace an examination by a licensed veterinarian. Never delay professional care because of Pawbi output.
For urgent symptoms, suspected poisoning, breathing difficulty, uncontrolled bleeding, collapse, seizures, medication or dosage decisions, or any concern that may be an emergency, contact a veterinarian, animal poison service, or emergency clinic immediately. Do not use Pawbi as an emergency notification service.
4. Accounts and security
Some features require Sign in with Apple or another supported method. Provide accurate information, protect access to your device and Apple account, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised use. You may not transfer, sell, or share account access. We may restrict or suspend access to protect Pawbi, users, providers, or others from abuse, security risk, unlawful conduct, or violation of these Terms.
5. App Store subscriptions and billing
Pawbi may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, including Pawbi Plus. The exact price, currency, duration, included features, and any trial or introductory terms are shown in the App Store purchase screen before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription automatically renews for the same duration unless you cancel it through Apple before the end of the current billing period.
- Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- A free or discounted trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends, as the purchase screen explains.
- Deleting Pawbi or your Pawbi account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
- Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings under your Apple Account and Subscriptions. Use Restore Purchases in Pawbi to restore an eligible entitlement.
- Apple handles billing and refund decisions under its rules and applicable consumer law. Pawbi cannot directly issue an App Store refund.
Features and prices may change prospectively. Apple will provide any notice or consent required for a subscription-price change.
6. Apple terms
These Terms are between you and Pawbi, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Pawbi or its content, support, maintenance, warranties, or claims except as required by law. Your App Store use is also subject to Apple’s applicable standard end-user licence agreement and media-services terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the relevant provisions.
7. Your content and permission to operate the service
You retain ownership of pet profiles, care logs, notes, messages, images, and other content you submit. You give Pawbi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, format, display to you, analyse, and otherwise process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and support Pawbi and comply with law. This licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to limited backup, security, and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.
This licence does not give Pawbi permission to sell your content or use it to train third-party foundation models. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit content and must not submit another person’s sensitive information without authority.
8. AI features and their limitations
AI responses are probabilistic and may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, inconsistent, or unsuitable for your pet. The same question may produce different answers. Images can be misinterpreted; web information can be stale or unreliable; and pet context may be missing or wrong. Always review output and verify important information with reliable sources and a licensed veterinarian.
Do not use AI output to diagnose a condition, choose or change medication, calculate a dosage, decide whether care is urgent, or make another high-risk health or safety decision. You are responsible for how you use output. Pawbi may filter, limit, review, change, or disable AI features for safety, reliability, cost, provider, or compliance reasons.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- break the law, infringe rights, harm an animal or person, or encourage dangerous conduct;
- upload malicious code or abusive, deceptive, illegal, or rights-infringing content;
- probe, scan, bypass, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to Pawbi, private interfaces, accounts, or infrastructure except where law expressly permits;
- evade usage limits, impersonate another person, automate abusive requests, scrape the service, or resell access without written permission;
- present AI output as professional veterinary advice or use Pawbi as the sole source for urgent decisions.
10. Pawbi intellectual property
Pawbi and its licensors own the app, website, software, designs, branding, and other service materials, excluding your content. Subject to these Terms, Pawbi grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
11. Third-party services
Pawbi relies on services such as Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, OpenAI, Google Firebase, Amazon Web Services, and Gmail. Their products and links may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. Pawbi is not responsible for a third-party service outside its reasonable control, but this does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Changes, availability, and termination
Pawbi may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may experience maintenance, provider outages, network problems, or data loss. We will use reasonable care but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. You may stop using Pawbi at any time and may delete your account using the app or support process. We may terminate or suspend access for a serious or repeated breach, unlawful use, security risk, nonpayment, or where needed to protect the service.
On termination, your licence ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—continue to apply. Account deletion and retained records are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pawbi is provided “as is” and “as available.” Pawbi disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. Pawbi does not warrant any health outcome or that a reminder will be delivered or acted upon. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pawbi and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages; loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or opportunity; or pet-health outcomes arising from or related to Pawbi. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the maximum extent the applicable law allows. These limits do not apply to liability that law prohibits us from limiting, and they do not reduce mandatory consumer rights.
15. Governing rules and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the place where Pawbi’s operator is established, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it informally. You may also use any court, regulator, or consumer dispute process available under mandatory local law.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, provider, safety, or legal changes. We will revise the effective date and provide an in-app or other prominent notice when a material change requires it. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using Pawbi and cancel any subscription through Apple.
